Cable Fault Detection (CFD) - Quick Picture of Existing Cable Faults & Condition
Measures distances to shorts or open faults in a cable or the cable length. Cable Fault Detection has the following features:
- Library of common cable type VOP values
- Calibration mode – Input the known length of a cable and Power Prowler calculates the VOP
- Loop Testing with audible indication of changing readings
- Measures accurate distances to shorts or open faults
Event Detection - Continuous Monitoring for Intermittent Faults (SSTDR)
Continuously samples circuit to monitor changes:
- Detect, locate and characterize cable faults, including arc faults
- Ability to time stamp events
- Time of event reporting
